About Seva Nivesh
Across India the funding needs of the social sector has grown from children’s education, health and rural development to environment and sustainable development, women’s empowerment and more. Yet the Non-Profit Organisations (NPOs) continue to depend mainly on one or two sources of donations, especially the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funding. For the social sector to grow significantly to address the vast needs of India, it has to think beyond CSR.
There are two important reasons for this:
CSR is limited:
The pool of money available within CSR is limited and cannot address the needs of thousands of NPOs across the country.
Dependency on one source:
This is risky as one Government policy change or economic impact or shift in a company’s core CSR focus can disrupt an NPO’s funding and entire work.
Seva Nivesh is an effort by Seva Tarang Foundation to strengthen India’s social sector by making it easier for NPOs to raise impact-led funding from new sources, structured instruments and innovative financing models. Our focus is to bring clarity, trust, simplicity and structure into how NPOs present their impact and raise funds for their ongoing and future needs. To start with, we are working with NPOs to raise funds through the Social Stock Exchange (SSE) by supporting every step of the listing process.

What Seva Nivesh is not

We do not host online campaigns where anyone can raise money for any project. - Not a fundraising agency or investor
