About Us
Seva Nivesh is an initiative of Seva Tarang Foundation and SoCap Investment Managers.
We have set two goals for ourselves:
- Provide philanthropy infrastructure to enable more private funding for social projects.
- Democratize the application and use of impact led financing instruments and innovative structures to enhance the effectiveness of philanthropy capital.
India lacks structured pathways and vehicles to channelise private philanthropy funds to finance social good and nation building. We are building those pathways to facilitate Responsible Giving.
Along with the infrastructure, India’s social sector also needs innovative financing like blended finance, catalytic capital grants, etc.
Traditional financing through CSR and government grants will not be enough given the scale and needs of the sector. It is also risky for social organisations to rely excessively on a single source of funds. We are designing these solutions and making them accessible to mid-level organisations.
